Dance Nation

The Virginia Tech School of Performing Arts presents Dance Nation by Claire Barron! A winner of the 2015 Relentless Award and 2017 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, Dance Nation is a feral, feminist romp inspired by the reality show "Dance Moms." This acclaimed, unorthodox comedy follows a troupe of ultra-competitive pre-teen dancers from Ohio as they claw their way to a national dance championship in Tampa, Florida (blood and fangs included), exploring the trials and tribulations of puberty, ambition, rage, and the terror of turning 13.

Visitors to the Blacksburg campus Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 10 p.m. will need to display a parking permit, utilize the ParkMobile app, pay the daily charge for a pass, or pay for parking using an hourly meter. A range of parking options can be found here.

All campus parking, including along Alumni Mall, requires a parking permit from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., unless otherwise noted by signage.
