Wind Ensemble and Symphony Band Concert

The Virginia Tech Wind Ensemble and Symphony Band perform an evening concert. The Virginia Tech Wind Ensemble is recognized for its outstanding musicianship and artistic excellence. Its distinguished performance history includes appearances at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in 2011 and Carnegie Hall in 2013 and 2017.

The Virginia Tech Symphony Band brings together talented student musicians from across the university, regardless of major. This ensemble performs a wide range of repertoire, from traditional wind band classics to contemporary works by today's leading composers. Visitors to the Blacksburg campus Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 10 p.m. will need to display a parking permit, utilize the ParkMobile app, pay the daily charge for a pass, or pay for parking using an hourly meter. All campus parking, including along Alumni Mall, requires a parking permit from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., unless otherwise noted by signage.
